Lightfoot Subscription Terms

 

1.1 These terms and conditions govern your agreement with Ashwoods Lightfoot Limited for a Lightfoot subscription plan. By choosing to purchase a Lightfoot subscription plan you accept these supplementary terms and conditions, in particular the 18-month subscription term (the “Term”). These supplementary terms apply in addition to the Terms of Sale, which can be accessed at lightfoot.co.uk/terms-products.

 

How Much is it?

1.2 Your Lightfoot subscription plan has a fixed cost which will be charged to you through a Monthly Fee. The Monthly Fee is a fixed fee of £9.99. There is an additional one-time £1 nominal charge up-front for purchasing a Lightfoot Unit.

1.3 The first Monthly Fee, plus £1 for the Lightfoot Unit will be payable at the time you sign up to the Lightfoot subscription plan. The Monthly Fee may be paid by continuous payment authority (CPA) by debit/credit card. The subsequent Monthly Fees will be payable every month on the same day of the month as when your subscription was activated.

 

Security Checks

1.4 To ensure that your credit, debit or charge card is not being used without your consent, we reserve the right to validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you during the order process against appropriate third-party databases. We may reserve the right to perform a credit check. By accepting these supplementary terms and conditions you consent to such checks being made if appropriate. In performing these checks personal data provided by you may be disclosed to a registered Credit Reference Agency which may keep a record of that information.

 

What’s Included in the Lightfoot subscription plan?

1.5 When you purchase a Lightfoot subscription plan, you agree to pay the Monthly Fee each month for the Term of 18 months. In return for the Monthly Fee and nominal £1 payment for the Lightfoot Unit included in your Lightfoot subscription plan, you receive the benefits and services described on our website including, connectivity, vehicle monitoring, reminders and discounts, and a Lightfoot Unit.

1.6 The Lightfoot Unit that goes with your Lightfoot subscription plan will be dispatched to you upon receipt of your first Monthly Fee in cleared funds (see section 13.4 of the Terms of Sale).

 

1.7 Cooling Off Period

 

You have the right to change your mind and cancel your Lightfoot subscription plan, without giving any reason, within 14 days of the day you receive (or a person nominated by you, if any, receives) the Lightfoot Unit (the “Cooling Off Period”).

To exercise your right to cancel your Lightfoot subscription plan, you must inform us of your decision by a clear statement during the Cooling Off Period. You can contact us on 01392 340419, or email support@lightfoot.co.uk.

If you cancel the Contract during the Cooling Off Period, we will repay to you all payments received from you, including delivery charges (except for supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than our least expensive standard delivery).

We will repay you using the same method of payment as you used to pay us. You will not incur any fees from us as a result of the repayment. Full details are contained in the Terms of Sale.

You must send back or hand over to us the Lightfoot Unit.   We will make the repayment without undue delay, and in any event no later than 14 days after we have received the Lightfoot Unit back from you, or, if earlier, 14 days after you provide evidence that you have returned it. If you cancel before you have received the Lightfoot Unit, we will repay you within 14 days of the date you inform us that you are cancelling the Lightfoot subscription plan. We may withhold repayment until we have received the Lightfoot Unit.

You must return the Lightfoot Unit(s) in good condition, clean and in its original undamaged packaging. If you do not, we may deduct from the refund the diminished value of the Lightfoot Unit.

 

How Long Does the Subscription Last?

1.8 The Term for a Lightfoot subscription plan is 18 months and the Monthly Fee is payable in 18 equal monthly payments. The Term begins on the date on which your first Monthly Fee is received in cleared funds. For information about payments after the Term Clause 1.13.

 

Terminating Your Subscription

1.9 Terminating during the Term: if you wish to terminate your Subscription before the end of the 18-month Term, you may do so by emailing support@lightfoot.co.uk. If you terminate before you have paid all 18 Monthly Fees, you will be required to pay a Termination Fee and return your Lightfoot device to Us at Your own cost, in an undamaged and good condition. The Termination Fee will be £70.00 You will not be entitled to a refund for any Monthly Fees already paid at the date of termination.

1.10 This does not affect your statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days from receipt of the Lightfoot Unit purchased as part of your Lightfoot subscription plan, as set out at 1.7 (cooling off period) above.

 

Failed Payments

1.11 If you fail to pay the Monthly Fee when due, our automated system will reattempt again until successful for three consecutive days. Any outstanding balance will be carried forward such that the next payment will be for the previous and current months. Ashwoods Lightfoot Limited will freeze your services after two failed monthly payments until such payment is made. If payment is still outstanding 60 days after the Monthly Fee was due, Ashwoods Lightfoot Limited may treat this as your giving notice of termination. You will have to pay the appropriate Termination Fee as set out at 1.9 above if the termination takes effect before the end of the Term.

 

After the Term

1.13 After the 18-month Term, your Lightfoot subscription plan will automatically roll on. We reserve the right to continue payments of the initial contractual value on a monthly basis until such time as a notification of cancellation (email confirmation sent to support@lightfoot.co.uk) is received. The Lightfoot Unit is yours to keep.

 

Who Can Subscribe?

1.14 Customers must be at least 18 years old and reside in the UK. There is a limit of one Lightfoot subscription plan per vehicle owned by a Customer.
