Lightfoot partners with Drax to accelerate fleet electrification
Lightfoot has announced an exciting new partnership with Drax Electric Vehicles, enhancing the support available to businesses on their journey toward electrification. The collaboration brings together Lightfoot’s award-winning fleet management technology with Drax’s market-leading charging infrastructure expertise, providing fleet and facilities managers with powerful new tools to inform and optimise their EV transition.

By integrating Lightfoot’s open-platform telematics with the Drax My Electric Vehicles portal, the partnership delivers clearer insights into real-world vehicle usage, driver behaviour and operational efficiency.
A smarter path to electrification
Drax already provides end-to-end EV charging solutions, from planning and installation to ongoing management and maintenance. Now, by incorporating Lightfoot’s real-time, in-cab coaching and advanced data analytics, Drax can equip its customers with the intelligence they need to build robust business cases and optimise fleet performance from day one.
“We’re already able to support organisations with planning, installing and managing their charging infrastructure investment,”
said Naomi Nye, Head of Sales at Drax Electric Vehicles.
“Now, by integrating Lightfoot’s advanced fleet management solution with our My Electric Vehicles portal, we’re broadening the ways we provide telematics insight to fleet and facilities managers.”
Enhancing Lightfoot’s own electrification tools
This partnership also strengthens Lightfoot’s own suite of EV transition tools, including its EValuation platform – a free assessment tool that helps fleets identify which vehicles can switch to electric today, and where further analysis is needed. Combining EValuation with real-world data collected through Lightfoot devices gives fleet managers a more complete and accurate picture of their readiness for EV adoption.

Together with Drax, Lightfoot can now offer an even more comprehensive support package, helping businesses understand not just if they can go electric, but how to do it in a way that’s sustainable, efficient and cost-effective.
From data to decisions
Drax customers can install Lightfoot devices in existing ICE vehicles to gather data that informs electrification planning. Journey mileages, dwell periods and driver behaviour data can all be analyses to determine whether an EV would meet operational needs, and where charging infrastructure would be best deployed.
“We don’t just provide data; we provide solutions,”
added Paul Hollick.
“Our partnership with Drax means customers can electrify with complete confidence.”
With Drax recommending Lightfoot to its growing customer base, both companies are well-positioned to support the UK’s transition to cleaner, smarter fleets.
