Lightfoot joins the Association of Fleet Professionals
Lightfoot has now proudly joined the Association of Fleet Professionals (AFP) as a gold member.
The AFP is the corporate fleet industry’s premier membership organisation, a not-for-profit body that supports, educates, and trains fleet professionals. Created in 2020 following the merger of the trade body ACFO (Association of Car Fleet Operators) and training body ICFM (Institute of Car Fleet Management), the Association of Fleet Professionals aims to improve market conditions for everyone involved in running a commercial fleet in the UK, with a focus on industry best practice and collaboration.
Working with everyone from fleet operators and key decision-makers to service providers and even those with fleet responsibility working in HR, finance, and procurement roles, the AFP enables the fleet sector to speak out with one voice against the many issues that impact the running of fleets.
At a time when the industry is undergoing a seismic shift and tackling the challenges of fleet electrification, driver shortages, and rising fuel prices – amongst many other issues – it’s important that the sector comes together to drive change forwards. Many heads are better than one, and Lightfoot is looking forward to working closely with the other organisations within the AFP to address these key concerns, as well as sharing our insights on effective fleet management, decarbonisation, driver engagement, and road safety.
Rupert Lyon-Taylor, CEO at Lightfoot, commented: “We’re delighted to be joining the Association of Fleet Professionals. This is an organisation that shares many of our key values, and we look forward to helping create real change within the industry by working together with other fleet professionals to deliver solutions that have a positive impact on us all.”
As a cutting-edge fleet management solution that delivers real-time feedback to drivers and creates lasting change within fleets, Lightfoot is already an influential force within the industry. With our market-leading EV telematics offering, we hope that through this new membership we are able to guide even more fleets through a seamless transition to their electric future, working hand in hand with the AFP to solve major challenges such as range anxiety, home charge expense management, and driver charging behaviour.
Paul Hollick, AFP Chair and recently appointed Managing Director of Lightfoot, said: “I am very pleased to see the AFP and Lightfoot come together. Lightfoot really is a game-changing, innovative brand that makes a big difference to fleets, addressing key concerns such as sustainability, cost savings, driver safety, and of course fleet electrification. As a gold member of our organisation, Lightfoot now has the opportunity to contribute to the AFP’s professional body and help to shape the future of the corporate fleet industry.”
